About the event
Benadetta, Victoria and Teresa’s trio sings about how it feels to be living in times when nothing makes sense anymore. Alternative Act of the Year (M.A.M.A. awards, 2021) captures the disorientation of contemporary life: caring about what’s going on, but not truly knowing what’s happening.
shishi’s garage-rock-surf-postpunk-Pixies-Slits grooves and unique vocal harmonies put them up there with the best riot-grrrl / punk inspired bands coming out of Eastern Europe today. Moving from debut NA x 80 (2018) to the more immediate, distilled sounds of MAFITISHEI (2020) their latest, Nearly Happily Ever After (2022), pushes the shishi sound further into their most immediate and moving set of tracks to date.
